Saints have a long-lasting contribution to our society. We cherish their positive impact and influence forever and we feel grateful when they shower their gracious blessings upon us.

Every saint, every philanthropist, and every good-hearted soul gives a golden touch to society turning it into a beautiful heaven on earth while minimizing the distress and hopelessness from people’s lives. The aspirations and achievements of these saints and saint-like human beings cannot be recorded even in a colossal book.

One such saint, philanthropist, and kind-hearted soul is HH Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj- Maharaj Shri and Pujya Shri, as we fondly call him. It is simply not possible to describe all the positive impacts that society has witnessed due to the kindness and foresightedness of Maharajshri, but still, here is a glimpse.

Many Lives Have Transformed

Pujyashri has an amazing style of expressing profound truths of life in simple words that have transformed several lives in the past and is still changing lives for good. Maharajshri has sown the seeds of Vishwa Jagriti Mission (VJM) in 1991 that now has turned into a huge organization under the aegis of which several social welfare programs are running in India and abroad.

Under the guidance of Maharajshri, VJM has built several temples, educational institutions, vocational training centres, hospitals, Gurukul, and humanitarian agencies to run projects for the underprivileged sections of society. The mission has established over 85 volunteer organizations all over India for offering free services to the poor and downtrodden.

The Mission has a long chain of healthcare centers throughout the country and Karuna Sindhu Charitable Hospital is one major amongst various healthcare initiatives. In Delhi NCR region and also in the remote villages of Jharkhand, schools are running where books, uniform, and food are provided free of cost to students who earlier were either street begging or garbage collectors or working as child laborers.  At VJM’s school, now they have an opportunity to have a future and make a good life for themselves.

Blessings of Guru Ji

The above-mentioned projects are just a small portion of the bigger work that is undergoing under the gifted guidance of Maharajshri. God shows to mankind, in vibrant ways, his presence in the smile of poor and downtrodden people when they get relief from pain and suffering. And the social work by VJM is doing exactly the same.

The phenomenon has given rise to a sense of wonder among the followers of Maharajshri who are in millions spread all across the world.

Moreover, amid these terrible times of COVID-19, we feel blessed as Maharajshri is doing everything he can to minimize the risk of infection at various VJM centres including the conduct of free covid-19 vaccination camps, motivating people to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour at all times and also Mahamritynjay Manta chanting and Yagya for the benefit of society.

He keeps inspiring us through magical words like-

• Do not get disheartened during challenging times. Be patient because the morning has to rise after every dark night.
• Do not let yourself get used to comforts because perseverance, learning and knowing are essential if you wish to progress in life.
• If you have a habit of taking risks, then you can achieve anything that you set your mind on.

These and many such quotes are like energy pills for us that we take and move on in life despite challenges and difficulties.

Showing us the Right Path, Always

The saints are like beacons showing ordinary men the possibilities open to mankind and they are not limited to a family or organization rather they belong to everyone. They are models of human excellence, demonstrating by their lives, how to really live in the service of society.  For us, Maharajshri stands out in glowing distinction who is leading a life of heroic virtue rooted in faith, optimism, and charity. His life is centered on one power- God and His blessings- that are for real.

And so Ullas Parv, 2nd May, is a truly sanctified day for all of us at VJM. On this pious day, accept our humble thanks Pujyashri for assiduously teaching us the philosophy of performing any duty with absolute dedication for receiving the best results. Given the unprecedented challenges we are facing here, it is to our spiritual advantage to get to know you as our Guru and ours is a relationship of unending and eternal value.
