The meditation is not only the way to spiritual achievement, it also provides a great medium for relieving stress. In modern world the stress is the cause of all diseases. The disease is born out of discomfort – the stress or tension. Causes of stress are many: finance, family, workplace, friends and each situation relates to this. How do we take this and react to it! Distraction from the real path leads to frustrations, and frustrations are the germs of disappointments and ultimately they turn into stress or tension.
If you notice, the discomfort in any situation arises from the desires that we have. If the desires are fulfilled by outcome of the situation we are happy. If not, we are not happy. That is the start of stress or tension. The stress causes discomfort. We look for solutions to overcome our disappointments and tensions. This situation leads to more desires, which leads to more stress on our mind and body. Desire – Situation – Not expected results – Disappointment – Make more desires to improve. Desires are not the gifts of God – these are given birth by you, yourself. Desires, if fulfilled are considered to be the blessings, but these blessings need to be preserved and respected and ultimately handed over to Him Who has given then to you.
The cycle continues. It is good to learn from disappointments and improve to get overall improvement in our modern world’s ‘physical comforts’. However one needs to learn how to take disappointments, reacting to them without causing undue stress to our body and mind. There are some solutions which have been laid down by our saints and scriptures. One of them is to fall on the feet of the Lord; sit before Him; tell Him everything which has created tensions and stresses for you; listen to Him carefully – He does not speak the way we speak, He speaks to your heart and mind; be calm, learn to invite Him to your heart; worship Him and follow the advice given to you by Him. This is meditation.
Being calm, being free from worldly affairs for a little while, being with Him for a few minutes even for a few seconds will bring peace to your disturbed mind. Learn to listen to yourself, learn to sit before Him, learn to tell Him the truth, this is meditation.

मनुष्य सामाजिक प्राणी है । संसार में रहते हुए विपरीत परिस्थितियों में भी उसे अपने आसपास लोगों के साथ सामंजस्य स्थापित करके व्यवहार निभाना पड़ता है । कभी हमारे मन के विपरित घटित होता है तो हम दुखी हो जाते हैं तो कभी किसी के खुश कर देने पर सुखी । यह सब बातें तनाव पैदा करती है ।
इन सब बातों के निराकरण हेतु हमें कुछ समय अपने ऊपर लेना चाहिए । इन सब से ऊपर उठने के लिए ध्यान एक महत्वपूर्ण शस्त्र है । परमात्मा से जुड़ते हुए अपनी परेशानी को अपने पिता परमेश्वर को बताएं । उससे जुड़ते ही जीवन निर्भार हो जाता है । समस्या का हल मिलता है प्रत्युत्तर में मन हल्का हो जाता है ।
गुरुदेव ही सशक्त माध्यम है जो हमें ईश्वर से खुद को जोड़ना सिखाते हैं । परम सौभाग्य है हमारा आपके निर्देशन में ही यह संभव है…
