Lord Ram was the eldest of four brothers and was to become king of Ayodhya. His stepmother, Kaikeyi, however, wanted to see her son Bharat, become King. Lord Ram’s father, King Dashrath, had once promised to grant her any two wishes. So, she demanded that Lord Ram be banished from Ayodhya for 14 years and Bharat be crowned. King Dashrath had to keep his words and so he ordered Lord Ram’s banishment which He accepted gracefully.
So, at a young age, Lord Ram led a life of a common man and lived in a forest with his wife, Sita and younger brother, Lakshman. He maintained his inner balance in all circumstances and this is exactly what all students should learn from His life.
No matter how difficult the situation gets, you should never drop your inner balance and move on the path which is ideal for you and your family.
Life was never easy for Lord Ram but He braved the toughest battles with a gentle smile on the face. He relentlessly pursued what he wanted and never gave it up.

Lord Ram never questioned his parent’s and Guru’s wishes. After finishing studies at the Gurukul, He returned to Ayodhya. Sage Vishwamitra came to the court of King Dashratha and told him how demonic forces were creating havoc. He insisted to take Lord Ram and Lakshman to protect him from their assaults.
Lord Ram agreed to take on uncouth monsters at the mere asking of his father and Guru. And this episode transformed His entire life story. So, you might not approve of your parent’s decisions today, but understand that your parents and Guru have more experience and foresight. They will always think good for you. Whatever they are saying follow that unquestionably. Eventually, you will realize that indeed they took the best decision for you.
