Devotion Means love. The real devotion is proved only by the selfless service. Bhakti is a spontaneous outpouring of love and affinity from man to God. The confession we should lay bare all wrongdoing that we and all others have.
They will be devoted money some times and someone will be devoted to his shop and another may be devoted to sumptuous food and some are devoted to their wives or husband. Some are devoted to political power or for a high seat of power. But instead of having devotion towards these worldly matters, if a person has devotion towards the master of this world i.e., the Lord of the Universe, then every minute his welfare will begin to happen.
People have the habit of devotion, but if they can turn this habit into attention towards the Lord, they will be saved. It is quite necessary to change the habit into devotion.
Therefore, good souls, design your own life. There should be peace and tranquillity in life when the time of departure from the world comes. Life should not
be filled with worries. To get to God is to get lost in Him and oneself. Flow with waves of God. Those are lucky who continue to recite His name. Remain devoted and be resolute. Stick to your thoughts and beliefs, but remain under the divine shadow all the time, Thus, Bhakti is not mere devotional feeling or activity.
It is much deeper than that. Bhakti is the intense yearning of the soul who is caught in the phenomena of birth and death to become free from the phenomenal existence in which it is held in captivity. It manifests in one’s being as a powerful emotion which is both of this world and not of this world. It arises in a mind that is stabilized by one-pointed intelligence and purified in the fire of virtues and divine qualities.
