The Gita is that holy scripture which is held in the highest regard all around the world. It has been translated into many languages also, whereby enabling people to become aware of Hinduism; as it is not only considered as a philosophy but a way of living. This scripture is all encompassing, it is meant for all irrespective of caste, creed or color. It conveys a message for entire humanity.
It leads one from despair to hope, from cowardice to strength, from delusion to clarity.
It is not just a dialogue between Arjun and Sri Krishna, but it is meant for each one of us who is seeking the Truth.
Though written around 5000 years ago, its values and teachings are upheld even in present times. The battle of Kurukshetra where this conversation between Sri Krishna and Arjuna took place, is symbolically the battle within each of us even today-between our positive and negative thoughts, between good and bad, between the deity and the devil within- and only when we overcome these so called ‘problems’ through proper courage (sahas) and distinguishment in thoughts (vivek buddhi), will we emerge victorious and hence will be the triumph of Dharma over Adharma!
