Sadguru Changes the Course of Life

Bhagwan Shri Krishna said to Arjun: “O Arjun, anyone who works for me, who lives engrossed in me and in my thoughts, who is my ardent devotee, who remembers and serves me, who remains unattached, who shuns love or affection for anything worldly, the one who leads a life in this way, that person belongs to me. I feel attached to such a person in whom I find these qualities.”

Do Not Keep Me Away from Your Holy feet

The one who has installed God in his heart, who, every time, sitting, sleeping, walking, eating or serving the world in any way, will ensure that everything in the world belongs to God and nothing belongs to himself. I want to hold you and keep you with me for whole life,” is the wish and anxiety of the devotee.
“O God, you should belong to me and I belong to you.” “O God, please do not forget me. Remain embedded in my heart and soul and remain kind and merciful to me always. O God, do not keep me away from your holy feet.”

Role of Sadguru

The person who is awakened can infuse new life in those who are in close proximity to him. Guru not only infuses life in people but puts on fire in their hearts and minds and leads them close to God. The one who changes the course of life of the devotee is the true Guru, the Sadguru.
The real and true Guru teaches the disciple and ethics and makes him aware of the codes, means and methods. He will teach him a new way of life, a new lifestyle, a new way of working and thinking.” This transformation is miraculous.
It is quite a different matter to understand the movement of the mind. The devotee should absorb the instructions and guidance of the Sadguru in such a way that these work as sparks and help putting the thought-process on fire – the fire of love for God, or being closer to God, the urge to belong to God. By sitting in front of the Sadguru one can realize own faults and learn how these defects can be removed.
