“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.” Swami Vivekananda
Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest youth icons of India, wanted the youth to become spiritual giants. He understood the power of spirituality and so asked the youth to arise, awake, and walk on the path of spirituality to achieve everything in life- good health, prosperity, loving relationships, and ultimate bliss. Indeed, the Millennial Generation or Youth 2.0 must realize the power of spirituality while pursuing a successful life.
The day-to-day life of today’s youth is packed with great challenges- work pressure, relationship pressure, and pressure to stay fit. They want everything in life, including peace, and they want it now. But is it possible to attain peace while dealing with such challenges?
Such a dream life is of course achievable, but for that, you need a deterministic mind. And such a mind can be achieved through spirituality only. There is no other way. Spirituality can teach how to act mindfully and attain success in life. For a spiritual person, any action is full of insightful experiences. Understand this through a small example.
While playing the Guitar, spirituality not only makes you mindful of its sweet sound but also makes you think of its shape, it makes you see the beautiful mind of its inventor, the wood, the strings, and the craftsmanship, as well as the seller’s patience with which he kept the instrument in his shop and sold the best piece to you.
So, you are playing the guitar, thinking of sharing it on social media, and at the same time, you are also thinking about these deeper aspects. A simple activity has turned into a wholesome experience of empathy, contemplation, and enjoyment. Spirituality infuses such power in you.
If you are spiritual, any action is not a trivial action for you, rather, it’s a wholesome experience that would bring great success eventually because you are putting your 100% into it.
Today’s youth are in a constant search of approvals, likes, and shares. They are amazingly connected with the world, which is a good thing, but still, they are struggling to find the purpose of their existence. At times, they find this world harsh and too fast-paced and fall prey to stress and depression.
Again, spirituality can play a good role here. It is the great hope that will spell the arrival of brighter times. It can help youth in finding unconventional paths to inner peace and material success by making them fearless in life. With sheer determination and hard work, spiritually active youth fulfill their responsibilities. They try ceaselessly and are not afraid to fail because they know that at each step, God is with them. A resolute mind gives them a purpose in life that ultimately makes them successful.
Spirituality has the power to calm the troubled soul of the youth and light the lamp of hope in their life. It stops them from thinking that they are a burden on society and empowers them with the ability to earn health, wealth, and happiness in life. And for such a realization they must find a guide, a life coach, a Guru. Just like, Lord Krishna found Guru Sandīpanī Muni and Swami Vivekananda found Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
A Guru could be anyone. It could be your mother, father, any elder in the family, or any great man whom you consider an ideal. The guide will open your mind, remove confusion from within you, and help you reach the stage where you will no longer be distracted. So, approach a Guru and Guide with reverence and he will awaken your spiritual consciousness. And then you won’t exist like a self-centered man with a confused heart, but you will find the true purpose of your life and success.
Remember, only spirituality transformed an ordinary ‘Narendranath Datta’ into a spiritual giant ‘Swami Vivekananda’.
