Know the True Aim of Life
This life given by the Lord Almighty is the most unique and a priceless gift. After having wandered through 8.4 million forms of births and rebirths, God has bestowed on the man this most valuable life with immense potentials of completeness. The man has the power to make the mighty and huge animals like elephants and lions dance according to his directions.
The emerging question now is as to what should be the aim of life from the worldly social and spiritual standpoint. Anyway, the total aim of humanity is to escape pains and misery and enjoy a happy life for which everyone continues to strive always. Everyone continues to endeavour to secure all means of facilities and resources but still does not get happiness.
In fact, all means of comfort do not remain embedded within the resources – they stay always in the mind. The mind remains attached to these resources only for a while. It is its habit to get disenchanted quickly. Just as fast as we get fascinated with the lure of happiness, in the same way our mind gets disassociated from there. Aversion then gets generated within us. We then move towards other resources, attractions and avenues.
Happiness, peace and security are found only at the feet of Lord Almighty. That is why the main aim of life should be to reach the Lord Almighty only. Religion, prosperity, passion and salvation are available only with the grace of God. These are His blessings. Salvation can be obtained by doing our duty religiously. The woman in the form of mother, wife to observe the religious behavior and ethics, the mother should realise that her role is that of a builder, should be their aim. They should; fulfill their obligations in the right manner.
The father should remain attentive towards his children and all his relatives. One should lead a life being attentive to all the household needs and obligations towards the family. The son should behave respectfully towards his mother. All parents love their offsprings with great fondness and love. They help their children in getting a good education to be useful to the family and society. Consequently, It then becomes the responsibility of the children to be respectful towards their parents.
In the same way, everyone should strive to be successful by adopting proper behavior religiously. It, however, does not mean that they remain entangled with the cobweb of the world. It is necessary that being a part of the world one should discharge one’s duties while remaining attached to the God.
Consolidate all Your Energies
Concentration is the world’s greatest power. To obtain this great power is, in a way, moving towards the set target. Every person is endowed with a vast storage of energy, but it does not flow towards the aim. It gets deflected in many directions. Due to the deflection, man gets farther away from his aim and loses his focus.
Understand the power of concentration and let your mind feel the power of concentration. Go and sit in the midst of nature. Do not fill your mind with bitterness. Uncalled for behavior makes the man lonely and he gets into a state of isolation. His power gets diluted… Meditation and pranayam work wonders to harness concentration and to put the mind in a single frame. Even some of the invigorating utterances and idealistic-encouraging sentences kept before you help you to concentrate. They become your ideals to be followed.
Man should become aware of his own powers. In many cases, people remain ignorant of their own powers. They cannot even realise the strength of the enormous special energies they had within themselves. Wisdom is one of the most significant powers of the man. A mind is another powerful force. Thoughts are like mantra. Speech has its own warmth and significance. Feelings emanating from the mind have their own effects. Every part of the body has its own relevance and significance. The most powerful of them all is the inner strength of the man, the power of his determination. His strong will is the most powerful.
All these energies are strong by themselves but when used in unison they become the most potent for the man. When these work in isolation, it becomes difficult for the man to achieve his objective but when used in combination it becomes easy for the man to achieve the objectives. It is like the small streams which cannot remove the obstacles by themselves but when they get merged with each other to become a river than even the huge mountains can be demolished by their united force. That is the power of concentration. All objectives and aims can be achieved if there is unity of thought and concentration of energy. Hence try to consolidate and give a personality to your words, actions and thought in order to reach the aim. Be devotedly-dedicated. You then do not have to reach the aim, the aim will reach you. You will then move forward towards your destination. Concentrate your mind and consolidate all your inner strengths.
Identify the Obstacles which Hamper Attainment of the Aim
A demerit is a demerit, and an obstacle is an obstacle. Do not take into account whether the demerit is a low level or of high level. A single element is good enough to block the passage to the progress of a man. Now the question arises – which one is the biggest challenge! It is how you look at it – it is your viewpoint.
In the endeavour of realizing your aim, it is your positive attitude with which you can be successful. You can win over the obstacles and convert the demerits into merits. If your viewpoint remains to be negative, you may not move forward even if the way in front of you is clear. Instead of moving forward you would still keep on looking behind. Your anxiety to move forward will remain unfulfilled.
So the negative attitude is the biggest hurdle in achieving the aim. That is why keep on moving forward with a positive attitude – by paying respect to your parents, paying respectful regards to your Guru and appreciating the blessings of God. Implement the advice given by your Guru. Keep in mind the ideals set by your elders; Get inspiration from their works; keep in mind the pictures of and great work done by national heroes and great people. Do not be afraid of challenges of life – be always prepared to face them bravely.
We now need to consider what after-all are the positive and negative attitudes and which is the main obstacle to achieve the aim. An example is general given in the society – if the glass is filled half with water, then the people with the negative attitude will say the glass being half empty, but the people with a positive attitude will say that the glass is half full. The one who says the glass as half full will have the chance to move forward while the person with the negative mind will stay where he has been stuck. Hence, you should realize the significance of positive attitude if you have to move forward to achieve your aim.
