Once, Gautama Buddha was taking a stroll with his disciples. While walking, one of his disciples pointed to a massive stone and asked, ‘Guru Ji! Who can weaken this stone? ” A precise thrust of an iron hammer can break this stone into hundreds of pieces,” Lord Buddha replied.
The disciple said, “Then who could be stronger than iron?” Lord Buddha replied, “Fire can melt iron easily.” Now the disciple said, “So Guru Ji, who is more powerful than fire?” Lord Buddha said, “Water can calm the fire.”
Lord Buddha said, “A strong flow of air can change the direction of a water stream.” His disciple said ‘Then the air is strongest!’ Then Lord Buddha said, “No, the willpower of a human being is ‘mightiest’ in the entire universe.”
Undoubtedly, willpower is ‘the utmost human strength’. It is the factor behind every single noteworthy human achievement over the times! With willpower, even the unattainable can be attained and without this quality, even the simplest of tasks may look like impossible.
So, harness your willpower, exercise self-control, boost your eligibility and attract God’s blessings in your life in the form of miracles.
Start giving importance to ‘Time Management’ in your daily routine and stop wasting your time on useless things. To do it effectively, make an intense desire for something that you want to achieve in life. Make it clear in your mind what you want, understand why you want it and what you aspire to achieve from that ultimately and also how it will change your life.
Have a clear picture in your mind about such things and spend your time accordingly. It will build confidence in you and strengthen your willpower. Remember, if you want miracles to happen in your life, you must have a strong willpower with clarity of thought.
Once you have a firm resolve in your heart & mind, sustain it for the long term. Do not turn it into a fickle emotion. There are many people, who take a so-called ‘firm decision’ one day but, after a few days and some setbacks, they leave everything on their fate. Such people say, ‘before time and more than fate no one achieves anything in life.’ these words are imprinted on the minds of many people. They surrender themselves to fate and by doing that, they weaken their will.
Never do that. It will weaken your inner magnet that attracts positivity from surroundings and motivates you to get ahead with unwavering resolve.
When you seek money from banks, they ask all sorts of questions and they provide you with that once they are satisfied. Likewise, if you are asking anything from God, satisfy His questions through self-talk. And also assure Him about your ‘purpose’ through your Karma and willingness.
He will surely give you more than you deserve. All you need to have is gumption and a strong resolve to achieve for which you are seeking God’s help.
And most importantly, take criticism in your stride and face them bravely. All sorts of people are going to be around you with their opinions. They criticize in all cases. There should be no surprise in that because when you are alone, you too criticize yourself: I did not take the right decision at that point of time; I should have done it that way; I should not have picked this profession; I am not a smart person, etc.
Do not spend your days just criticizing yourself. Talk good about yourself as well. Appreciate yourself for what’s good in you. You’ll start taking action accordingly and the world will appreciate you as well. It will also strengthen your willpower.
Hence, be the master of strong willpower and also make your mind realize regularly that you have a strong resolve to achieve such and such things in life. You’ll see that your mind has started working towards it automatically and this will result in amazing results, sometimes in the form of a beautiful miracle.
