“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
These times can overwhelm anyone. There is negativity, pessimism and unfortunate events everywhere. But as human beings, everyone has to fight under all circumstances. And for that, you have to have belief in your immense capabilities. Therefore, trust God; fill your heart with self-confidence and start believing in yourself because you have to keep moving forward under all circumstances; but how to develop self-belief?
At the heart of self-belief is accepting that you – and only you – are the driver of your own life. You have to build your own personal power. You have to triumph over challenges in your life. But remember, self-belief isn’t always about uninterrupted health and success in life rather, it’s also about being able to move on from a poor health condition or failure without losing confidence.
And to do that, you must change your viewpoint on disappointments. Believe that all your disappointments will actually lay the foundation for a new level of living that you will find sooner or later.
During tough times, try to stay away from certain negative emotions like anxiety and self-doubt. They are strongly connected to the opinions you have about yourself that are based on your past experiences and ongoing situations. Examine your limiting thought processes and replace them with empowering self-talk. But that also won’t be easy. Still, you can start by focusing on self-talk, which is a nice way to improve your psychological well-being.
Replace a negative inner monologue with positive thoughts and super positive affirmations- I will come out of this situation; I will take care of my health; I will get success in this field; only I am responsible for my well-being; I will help my family in tackling this unprecedented challenge and so on.
Get in touch with your superpower by adopting new routines that are healthy. Bring meditation and Yoga into your routine for reducing anxiety and stress. It also helps you focus on your strength. In the morning, you can easily set the tone for a day filled with confidence through small changes. Do not stay in bed as late as possible but start your day early and for that start with an early night.
Thus, wake up a little earlier, sit down on your bed and relax your body. Try not to think of anything for sometimes and if thoughts fill your mind, start reading an inspiring book. This will pacify your body and mind and prepare you to take care of the daily tasks efficiently.
It’s also about how you keep yourself busy; what all you read, listen and watch on a daily basis at home. Try to stay away from negative news, but do watch anything which is informative and which may boost your knowledge. Watch stories about people who have come out of difficult situations, watch inspirational videos, read positive quotes and write down your favorites in a diary. Learn about those topics that will help you achieve what you want, or that will help you deal with your fears.
Moreover, chanting the powerful ‘Mahamritynjay Mantra’ will definitely help you in dealing with tough times. This amazing Mantra of Lord Shiva is good for physical as well as mental well-being. Always remember, you must be at your best at the darkest moments of life. So, do everything you can to develop self-belief and keep moving forward.
