“जब प्राणी मात्र के दर्द को इंसान अपना दर्द मानने लगता है, तब कहा जाता है वो गुरु वाला हो गया, परमात्मा वाला हो गया क्योंकि, भगवान् उसके ह्रदय में उतर आयें।“
“When a human being considers the pain of others as his own pain, then it is said that he has become dear to the Guru, dear to Paramātmā because God comes down in his heart.”
If you are a kind person, you are closer to God because He resides in a caring heart. I have a firm belief that the world will become a much better place when everyone will be kind and will cultivate compassion in their life.
Today, as the world commemorates ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’, practice kindness especially towards people with ‘special needs’ and bring a positive change in their life and your life. But never think that such people are weak. By the grace of God, they are strong enough to survive without any help. Be kind and compassionate for your own welfare and well-being too.
You don’t need to think deeply to understand that kindness is fundamental to human existence. Humans are bound to practice kindness; they cannot survive without it. Can a newborn child survive without kindness? Absolutely not.
It is essential to be kind because we are different from each other in so many ways. A perilous state of chaos is inevitable if there is no tolerance and kindness in the world. An act of kindness makes a man feel good about himself. Everyone is seeking happiness and practicing kindness brings happiness.
It is essential to be kind because as a human being, you also need kindness. If you expect love in your relationships, you must also infuse love in your relationships. The same is true for kindness. If you expect others to be kind to you, then learn to reciprocate the same towards others. Moreover, many research studies have shown that kindness or compassion can enhance the quality of life. So, be kind.
Being kind is not rocket science. Use kind words, practice saying positive things always, and refrain from using hurtful or abusive words always. Respect other’s feelings and be empathetic towards those who look up to you for support.
Never mock someone’s weaknesses. Everyone has weaknesses and shortcomings, but you must learn to overlook the same and instead focus on the positive qualities of others. Never ridicule others, never mock anybody’s disabilities, and don’t judge them in any case. By doing so you are not causing them harm but instead dampening your own karma. Be wise, be kind, and support those who need your generosity, kind words, kind gestures, and kind actions.
What Do You Get from Being Kind?
More kindness and peace of mind!
Being kind impacts man in a big way and is linked to enhanced mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Kindness is the best medicine for anxiety; it is the quickest and the most inexpensive way to keep the baneful condition at bay.
A small act of kindness- for e.g. appreciating someone, feeding the poor, offering blankets in the harsh winter- brings inner happiness and takes the focus off yourself. The gesture of giving to others is a great act of kindness and must be instilled in children from a young age. The gesture of caring for others is even more noble and heartwarming. Try to serve the sick, the elderly, and those with special needs. There are endless people who are not as fortunate as you are. So, find ways in which you can extend your helping hand to the less privileged and put a smile on their face.
Moreover, by being kind you are increasing happiness in your life too. A kind heart is healthier and content. New research suggests that kindness actually slows aging. It enhances warmth in relationships and brings you closer to God. Kindness helps you ascend on your spiritual ladder. Be kind and surround yourself with kind people too. Extend kindness in numerous ways and be thankful to God for giving you an opportunity to be kind.
Blessings!
