It is all in the perception!
Aging is an undeniable natural process in human life. The body and mind grow as one keeps gaining a new age every year. But any growth is not worthwhile if one keeps his perception towards the world locked inside the cage of self-centered lifestyle. As one doesn’t come across the same situation and people in life who share the same morals and ethics, one needs to change their perception towards life.
Limited insight on anything is as bad as a sprained ankle, it would not let one go far in life. A broad-minded perception of dealing with things and people in life is a must for everyone in this fast paced era. It doesn’t just help one rise above every odd in life but also makes one a better person all along. And in order to go ahead, one certainly doesn’t need anybody else’s support or depend on others. Everything one needs is within him!
The key to one’s happiness lies in his hands. But there are a few things in life that one needs to indulge in, to keep that happiness going forever and never look back at the unpleasant moments gone by.
And how can one achieve all this? Let’s start with owning the right values that will help one attain the right education; instilling the right behavior which will contribute towards running a successful business; acquiring the right kind of knowledge and choosing the path of righteousness to do the right thing; and knowing one’s place in life, so one can live with self-love, self-respect, and contentment.
As this shloka from one of the Hindu scriptures says,
Om Jaayasvantah Chitti-no Maa viyoshta Sam-raadyantah sadu-rashcharantah Anyo anayasmayi valgu vadantah Ev sabhrichinaan vaha samnas krunomi
Jaayasvantah: Be the bigger person by being noble. Dream big and do great things in life, keeping the nobility in mind. One needs to set an example among the family, friends, and everyone – that great determination and good deeds bring desired success to one’s life. On the path of truth and faith, one should always try to maintain harmonious relationships.
Chitti-no: Be conscious of your decisions and ways of dealing with everything in life. One should always trust the Almighty if not oneself or people around. One needs to connect with the inner self after leaving bed in the morning and before going to bed in the evening.
Maa viyoshta(m): One should never separate the self from the Almighty. It not only takes one down spiritually but also reduces the worth all along. Separating oneself from one who helped us become a better being after years of austerity is injustice to ourselves.
Sam-raadyantah sadu-rashcharantah: It is a must that one should keep a goal in mind, keep everyone together, and always maintain the constant focus to achieve that goal in life. To do that, one needs to take out time for oneself, think about the self, set a goal, and work towards achieving it in order to be content and satisfied in life.
Anyo anayasmayi valgu vadantah: One should exchange a positive dialogue with people around and not argue because a conversation solves the problem, not an argument. There must be a constant need to have a dialogue and work on the issue instead of neglecting it because of sheer ego and/or misunderstanding.
Ev sabhrichinaan vaha samnas krunomi: To achieve the greatest good, everyone should proceed towards it together and see that even an impossible task becomes possible. A common shared goal with commonly shared ideologies empowers the will to achieve that goal even more.
In the end it all comes to the point that one has to change his perception to look at things in life to live a better life.
