When you begin to walk on the path of life you gradually become aware of impediments that come your way. Some of the events you encounter in your journey are pleasant and some disturbing. But you have been blessed with wisdom which helps you to identify which are beneficial for you and which present problems. You then begin to choose whichever is beneficial to you. You will then do things which you can do easily and which bring benefits, prosperity and satisfaction to you.
On the path of life, you often do something good and sometimes knowingly and unknowingly you may make wrong judgments. You should, therefore, not blame yourself for such events because this is the way how people live in this world and how the world treats people. This happens with everyone who has come to live in this world. Do not feel dejected or heartbroken; have courage and move forward regardless. In life, your vision should be focused on some helping hands – you should look for guidance and blessings. God is always there to show you the way. Though you cannot see God in person yet he is always around – in the personification of your parents and Satguru. They are the light for you to tread on the path leading to a bright future. Reaching the Divine Gateway is your ultimate aim.
Change the World for Yourself
This world is an amalgum of people of diverse attitudes, habits and interests. It is somewhat hard to pull along with them all the time. It is also true that you cannot live without them. You have to have some company to keep you in good humour otherwise your life would become a boring episode. Of course it depends on how you interact with them. You cannot expect anything good from ill-natured people. Such people have their own circle. You may not fit in such a circle – so you have to find a better way for yourself. You have a better companion sitting inside you, look for him, invite him out to be with you – Look inside and you will find him. Do not look towards the world, look within yourself. If your conduct is harmonious and pleasant you will feel that everyone around you is good but that is not the case. You therefore have to develop a good sense of judgement.
There is a great saying Love begets love – distribute your love and kindness and you will find a similar environment surrounding you. You can change the world, and if you succeed, the world would be willing to change itself for you.
Seek the Advice of Guru and Parents
The most important aspect of leading a trouble-free life is to seek the advice and blessings of our elders. As per our Indian culture and traditions our first gurus are our parents. They teach us the way to live and behave. They lead us to the arena of the world to live and survive. But the Guru infuses a special type of wisdom which enhances knowledge and respect for others,Guru shows the way, Guru leads you to the divine door; Guru is the personification of God; Guru is the storehouse of knowledge; Guru ignites the spiritual fire in you; Guru removes the curtain of ignorance from your eyes; Guru helps you to empower your soul; Guru smoothness your way to God by making you
aware of the difference between good and bad deeds.
When parents bless their children a feeling comes from the depth of their heart. Children do not have to ask for blessings. These feelings come out automatically for the children. These blessings are not ordinary. There is no parallel in the world of the love, compassion and concern that a mother has for her children and nothing equals the security that the father gives to his children. Parents’ prayer for their children: “O God, we pray that our children remain happy and prosperous always; let the strains of our family continue to grow; these children are novice; let their orchard continue to grow and bloom; and O God, protect them and shower your blessings on them.”
This World is a Big Garden
This world is a huge garden which is filled with flowers, colors and fragrance. Every beautiful thing is not beneficial – there are thorns at the bottom of the rose flower and there can be small insects hidden in the flowers which can make you sick if you inhale the fragrance of the flower. So be careful when you roam in the garden of the world. Pick up the flowers which are beneficial to you. You get this knowledge from the Guru. Always seek the blessings of the Guru and of your parents. Parents never think of any harm coming your way. They always wish you well and see you prosper – bigger than themselves and higher than themselves. Guru wants you to shine as a wise person as an intelligent person and as a faithful devotee. Remain indebted to them always.
Respect for the Guru and parents brings success, peace and prosperity to you. Remain indebted to them always. Seek their blessings for a peaceful life.
